Founded in 2026, Masami & Co. was created to support individuals and communities in hosting meaningful, well-executed events. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, we serve clients locally and nationwide. We are a boutique event planning and travel support company rooted in the philosophy of true beauty—where authenticity, intention, and meaningful experiences come together.

Meet Amber
(and Masami)
Hello! My name is Amber Nakamura, and I’m the lead events coordinator and founder of Masami & Co.
In 2013, my late father had passed away but we were blessed with the newest addition into our family. We had named our new family member, Masami, my father’s middle name. He’s more than my best friend, he’s the main purpose of why I thrive to be the best version of myself.
In 2017, Masami was a victim of animal cruelty and wounding, for we fought to find him justice against is assailant. Masami’s strong body and deep love kept him from leaving us, and having him with us to this day makes life beautiful every single day. In honor of the strength he has pushed through to ensure we are able to provide him the best life possible, Masami inspires me to always view life beyond expectations.
In our free time, we spend time with his brother, Toby (our long haired welsh corgi), and my partner, Nathan, cuddling on the couch or taking fun walks around our neighborhood. Masami is always on my lap, making sure that I’m working or protecting me from anyone who dares to approach our front door. Masami is also a well traveler, for he fits perfectly under the seat as we visit family and friends in the west coast.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Project Management and my Master’s in Acquisition & Contract Management—I knew I wanted to have my own business one day. In 2025, I was laid off by my former employer in telecommunications, where I held a strong portfolio in Mid-Market Business Sales, Field Marketing, Corporate Event Planning, Culture and Community Global Program & Event Planning, and Integrating Marketing. I hope to express my passion in creating wholesome engagements not only with my clients, but to the people they invite to celebrate any milestones that occur.
Fun Facts:
I’m from the West Coast, and I have spent a generous time in Oregon, the Bay Area, Oahu, and Colorado. I currently reside in Cleveland, Ohio with my partner and our two fur-babies. I enjoy traveling, golfing, pilates, and wearing pink on Wednesdays (yes, I am a huge Mean Girl’s fan)!
